Commissioning & Start-up Engineer

Battolyser Systems is looking to recruit a Commissioning & Start-up Engineer 

In this role you will be part of the engineering team at the heart of our technology. You are responsible for the final delivery of our product to our customers and manage the product system integration and testing. You are a jack of all trades, who is able to consider and implement commissioning and start-up matters in the engineering stages as well as organizing and executing the actual commissioning and start-up activities, both at our manufacturing facilities as well as at the customer’s site. Continuous improvement will be key, and you are able to translate practical learnings into design improvements across all relevant technical disciplines. More specifically, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Lead the Factory- and Site Acceptance Testing of our first Mega Watt scale Battolyser Systems.
• Act as focal point and lead the integration, (pre-) commissioning, Factory- and Site Acceptance Testing and support the start-up of future Battolyser products.
• Responsible for implementing commissioning and start-up requirements into the design and fabrication of the Battolyser products.
• Prepare, write and execute (pre) commissioning plans

You are an engineer at heart, who is passionate about new technologies and have experience in testing, commissioning and starting-up process/chemical systems, including operating control systems. You are ‘hands-on’ but know when to call in the help of the specialists. You are a real integrator, problem solver and able to represent Battolyser interacting with customers. Oh, and if you have experience with electrolysers and/or batteries that would really set you apart.

The best combination of background, skills and experiences is:

• HBO/WO Bachelor - Applied Science/ Mechanincal Engineering/ Process Technology
• 5+ years of work experience in relevants roles
