Project Engineer

As a Project Engineer, you will join our Projects and Engineering team, where you will work in the technical heart of our company. You will be reporting to a Senior Project Manager. Your main responsibility will be overseeing the fabrication, safe installation, and startup of our first series of commercial Battolyser units at client sites. These units represent a crucial step towards achieving our mission of enabling 'Always Clean Energy'. The detailed design of the first unit is completed and further improvements in design are to be implemented in future units together with the engineering team. In parallel, you will be actively involved in the design of larger scale Battolyser Units to further expand our product portfolio as well as working together with customers in different phases of the project development.

We expect your specific focus in the next 12 months will include:

• Safe delivery of the Battolyser units to our customers.
• Act as the daily Battolyser Systems representative towards our fabrication contractor focusing on safety, cost, schedule, quality and procurement.
• Manage the schedule and budget for a series of Battolyser units.
• Develop schedules and cost estimates for future Battolyser units.
• Identify and implement design optimizations to enhance performance and reduce costs.
• Oversee the change process (MOC) for the Balance of System based on the insights gained from our operational Battolyser units.
• Integrate client-specific scope (OSBL) to ensure seamless integration of Battolyser Units at client sites.

To thrive in this role, you have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in project delivery for large industrial clients. You have seen all phases of a project, from engineering to successful handover to a client team and you possess the skills needed to deliver projects within ambitious timelines. You have experience in working with or in engineering contractors and you are able to apply a multi-disciplinary view on improving the design of the Battolyser. Moreover, you have a track record of closely managing fabrication contractors and suppliers and you are willing to travel frequently to our fabricator and clients within the Netherlands.
